Multi‐Throat Venturi Scrubbers
Multi‐throat Venturi scrubbers are air pollution control devices that use high‐velocity gas streams and a scrubbing liquid to capture and remove particulate matter and gaseous pollutants from exhaust gases. They are designed with multiple narrow throats (or passages) to increase the contact between the gas and liquid, enhancing the removal efficiency.
Key Features:
High‐Efficiency Scrubbing: The gas is accelerated through multiple throats, creating turbulence. This increases the interaction between the gas and the scrubbing liquid, which captures and removes pollutants.
Particle Removal: The scrubber is highly effective at removing fine particulates, mists, and gaseous pollutants by impaction and absorption.
Adjustable Throats: Some multi‐throat Venturi scrubbers allow for throat adjustment to handle varying gas volumes and pollution loads.
Applications: Commonly used in industries like mining, chemical manufacturing, and metal processing to control dust, fumes, and hazardous gases.
The multi‐throat design provides enhanced contact between the gas and liquid, making it more effective than single‐throat Venturi scrubbers for high‐volume or highly polluted gas streams.
